THE PAST

POWER DISTRIBUTION vs. BIRD PROTECTION

  • DIFFICULT TO FIND MUTUAL AGREEMENT
  • MANY BIRD ELECTROCUTIONS

There were initial solutions that did not fulfil the hopes. The rate of bird loss decreased minimally.

CONNECTIONS WITH COVERED CABLES AND LIVE LINE CONNECTORS

Replacing the pole switches with live line connectors and covered cable
(where applicable)

The air-insulated open pole switches represent extraorinary danger for the birds. The covering of these switches are extremely expensive or not feasible at all. For this reason the pole switches should be replaced by live line connectors and covered wire, where applicable.
